After 40 years spent serving up sub standard slop in his restaurant and take away businesses Rick decided to do all his customers a big favour and sell up to someone who could cook. At a loose end for something to do he decided to become a commercial artist but after spending £400 purchasing Corel Painter he sadly found out he was too stupid to use it.
Despite this set back Rick was determined to foist his tacky etchings on the world and was soon dusting off his 1970's 'Let's Do It With Rolf' paint box and turning out dozens of DVD covers for Arrow Video, none of which anyone liked.
Rick stuck at it though, and eventually hit the big time when he was hired to create the covers for Britain's best selling horror magazine, The Dark Side. Since then he has painted hundreds of book, magazine and DVD covers along with film posters and private commissions which not only proves that traditional illustration is still alive and kicking but that all the other traditional illustrators are dead!
